The Society of Sin Returns to the Stage with Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Burlesque

NEW ORLEANS, July 9, 2015 – New Orleans-based burlesque and variety troupe The Society of Sin is preparing their second installment of “Dungeons & Dragon Queens: A Live Action Pen & Pasties Burlesque RPG,” an interactive burlesque show where the audience and a set of dice decide the fate of four burlesque performers on a quest for adventure.

This highly experimental production is currently scheduled to run for only one night, Friday, July 24, 2015 at Cafe Istanbul (2372 St. Claude Ave., New Orleans, LA). Doors are at 9 p.m., and the show begins at 10 p.m. Tickets are currently available online at http://dndburlesque2.eventbrite.com at the discounted rate of $10 for General Admission and will be available at the door the night of the show for $15. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $25 each for a seat at a one of the stage-side tables and also include express entry into the show.

“We got such a fantastic reaction from the crowd the first time that we did the show that we decided to keep the story going,” said Xena Zeit-Geist, Founder of The Society of Sin and lead writer of “Dungeons & Dragon Queens.” “With a show like this, where the audience has a say in when we strip, how successful we are at it, and what we do next, it’s impossible not to feel connected to the crowd and to have fun. This time we’ve even added special VIP options that let the audience do things like cast love spells on the adventurers.”

“Dungeons & Dragon Queens” features boylesque performer Stevie Poundcake in the role of Dungeon Master, as he leads the cast and audience on a quest through Glitterdale, a mysterious town that’s rumored to be home to a dark cult, a deadly dragon, and dungeons filled with treasure. Four burlesque dancers (Xena Zeit-Geist, Cherry Bombshell, Queenie O’Hart, and Darling Darla James) will perform as player characters whose actions on stage will be determined by the whims of four comedians who will make decisions for them, audience members who can choose to intervene by sending performers potions to aid or hinder them, and the roll of a set of twenty-sided dice. Nikki LeVillain, known for snake charming during her burlesque acts, will also appear as a non-player villain whose goal is to sabotage the adventurers on their quest for gold and glory.
