Society of Sin Returns to the Stage with "Always Sunny" Burlesque Parody
NEW ORLEANS, November 14, 2016 – New Orleans-based burlesque and variety troupe The Society of Sin is back on stage November 18 for a burlesque musical parodying long-running comedy TV series "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia."
“It's Always Sunny In Burlesque: The Nightman Cometh,” adapted and produced by Xena Zeit-Geist and co-produced by Cherry Bombshell, is currently scheduled to run for only one night, Friday, November 18, at Eiffel Society (8200 Willow St., New Orleans, La.) for two showings—one at 8 p.m. (doors at 7 p.m.) and the other at midnight (doors at 11 p.m.). Tickets are on sale now at http://alwayssunnyburlesque.eventbrite.com, with general admission tickets selling for $10 in advance or $15 at the door, and VIP tickets for sale for $20 online or $25 at the door, while supplies last. VIP tickets to The Society of Sin's events typically sell out online before doors open.
The show will serve as a burlesque debut for Jade Patton, known by most as a standup comic local to New Orleans, who will be acting and performing a burlesque striptease in the role of "Artemis." Patton had a featured role in The Society of Sin's "Wonderful Wizard of Oooo" show over the summer, where she played the Ice King and recently hosted the troupe's "Harry Potter & the Bedchamber of Secrets" burlesque play in October, but this will be her first time performing a solo burlesque striptease act.
“It's Always Sunny In Burlesque” features burlesque and singing by Xena Zeit-Geist, Cherry Bombshell, Jade Patton, Ash Wednesday, Danger Rockwell, Spooky LeStrange, Kedavra and Nicole Lynn Foxx. Amen Five will be on tech, and special appearances from Charlotte Treuse, DC Harbold and others can be expected
