Presented by The Society of Sin Burlesque & Variety, New Orleans' Premiere Nerdlesque Troupe, Talk Nerdy To Me blends burlesque with your favorite fandoms and pop culture icons for a taste of live-action fan fiction every Saturday at The Dragon's Den at 7p. Every week is a different show filled with new nerdlesque and variety acts from our rotating cast of professional entertainers. How do I buy tickets?
Tickets are available at the door for $15 cash. Doors open at 7p. The venue does not allow us to pre-sell tickets. Arrive right when doors open to ensure you get an excellent seat.
Is photography allowed?
Flash photography is not allowed during the show, but there is often time after to get pictures with performers. If you do take photos, please let the performers know and tag The Society of Sin if you post the photos: @thesocietyofsin on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
What is the policy on tipping?
If you enjoy our performance, you may throw money into our tip bucket or on stage. We ask that you do not touch the performers.
How much of the proceeds go to performers?
Performers and the crew (sound person, stage kitten, door person, etc.) receive 100% of ticket sales, tips, raffle tickets and merchandise sold.
What is the dress code?
Typically on the nicer end of casual, but we always appreciate it when people come dressed to fit the theme in costumes related to the show.
How long does the show last?
The show lasts roughly one hour. On an average night, doors open at 7p, the show starts at 7:30p, and we wrap up at around 9p.
Do you sell merchandise and other items at the show?
Yes, we regularly have merchandise from stickers to t-shirts to pasties for sale at the show.
I'm bringing a friend who is celebrating a birthday, getting married, etc., is there anything special that I can do for them?
We sell raffle tickets every night for a chance to be pulled on stage with the cast at the end of the show. Friends are encouraged to take photos/video. If you want VIP treatment and don't want to leave it up to chance, please email us at email@example.com for more information about our special event packages.
Is there an age restriction?
Patrons must be 21 or older to attend.
