October Charity Month for The Society of Sin

The Society of Sin has had an amazing first year of performing together, and in exchange for the overwhelming support we've received from the community, we want to start giving back. That's why we've dubbed October "charity month" for The Society of Sin. We will have two wonderful shows this month in which procedes will be donated to good causes.

Addams Family Feud new orleans burlesque comedy variety the society of sin

The first, our Addams Family Feud show, in which Sinners Ember Scorpius (Morticia Addams), Baron Reinhardt (Gomez Addams), The Reverend Spooky LeStrange (Lurch), Remy Dee (Pugsly Addams), Roux LaLa (Wednesday Addams), and Xena Zeit-Geist (Cousin It) will perform creepy, kooky burlesque numbers, will also include playing five rounds of Family Feud against the local comedians of Accessible Comedy led by Jake Potter. Procedes will be donated to the charity of the winning team's choice. This event will be held October 11 at 9p at The Dragon's Den at 435 Esplanade Ave. (New Orleans, LA). Tickets are $8 and are available online or at the door. As always, there will be a raffle.

The next is Wonder Women!, a burlesque tribute to women who inspire us. Sinners have created numbers to dedicate to the strongest, smartest, and all-around most amazing women we know. Performers include The Revered Spooky LeStrange, Cherry Bombshell, May Hemmer, Lauren Sturm, Jake Potter, and more! Procedes will be used to purchase donates from a local women's shelter. We will also be accepting donations for the shelter at the show and will give free raffle tickets to those who bring items to donate. A complete list of requested donation items can be found at the end of this article. Wonder Women! will be held October 24 at 9p at Mag's 940 on Elysian Fields at 9p. Tickets are $8 and are available online or at the door.

Again, we thank you everyone who's attended our events in the past months for your overwhelming support, and we hope to see you at our upcoming charity shows.
